Three years after leaving the Robert-Herbin Sports Center, Dylan Chambost is back! The 24-year-old midfielder already knows AS Saint-Étienne well, for which he defended the colors for 11 seasons. A native of Annecy but very quickly becoming a Ligerian, he first wore the colors of the Étoile Sportive de Veauche, like a certain Etienne Green. Spotted very early by ASSE, he joined the club in 2007. From the football school to the training center, he climbed all the levels. In 2013, alongside Allan Saint-Maximin and Jonathan Bamba, he was part of the crowned generation of French U17 champions.
Later becoming captain of the professional reserve, he participated in the promotion of the club to National 2 in 2018 before succeeding, the following season, in keeping ASSE at this level. Trained until then by Laurent Batlles, he then made the choice to follow his trainer to live a first experience away from Saint-Étienne. It is together, with ESTAC, that they take their first steps in their respective positions in the professional world. With Troyes, Dylan Chambost played 51 Ligue 2 BKT matches and in 2021 won a French Champion title and a rise in Ligue 1 Uber Eats.
During the last exercise, the midfielder played 19 Ligue 1 Uber Eats games with the Aube club. At the end of the contract this summer, he leaves ESTAC to find his heart. He will also find Laurent Batlles there. Welcome back Dylan!
Dylan Chambost: “The story was not over with ASSE, I am very happy to continue writing it today. I arrive with a conquering state of mind to tackle this season well in Ligue 2 BKT, a complicated championship that requires a lot of humility and ambition. I can’t wait to find a locker room with many familiar faces and prepare properly for this new exercise..”
Laurent Batlles, ASSE coach: “I am very happy to have Dylan join us. It’s something he really wanted. He had left ASSE without having really played with the professionals, he will now have the opportunity. He is a very technical player with a good vision of the game, capable of giving good balls to the attackers. He will be very important in our project, especially since he knows my way of playing perfectly. It will be a little more for him, as for his teammates.“
