Google Lens is the search engine specializing in the processing of brand image. It allows to detect the apparent elements on a photo in order to work from the recovered data.
Google Lens is able to recognize a product to search on it, recognize text and even translate it, all from a simple image. If the mobile version offers a fluid and complete experience, this was not necessarily the case for the desktop browser version.
Until today, the feature was only available on Google Images and Google Photos. With the update, it is possible to right click on any image in the browser in order to access Google Lens.
A side pane then opens allowing you to use all the features of Lens and to launch a new query directly from the image. Discover in pictures the possibilities of Google Lens in Chrome:
The update is already effective. If you can’t find the function in your context menu, remember to check that you have the latest version of Google Chrome.
