Romelu Lukaku back at Inter, it’s official

One after leaving Chelsea, Romelu Lukaku is back at Inter. Arrived Wednesday morning in Milan for his medical examination, the Belgian international striker of the Blues (29 years old, 68 caps) has now signed up with the Lombard club in the evening. He will be on a one-year loan which should cost Inter 8 million euros (excluding bonuses linked to the results), according to English and Italian media.

Real spearhead of Inter crowned champion of Italy in 2021, the powerful striker never won at Chelsea, where he was regularly left on the bench by coach Thomas Tuchel (15 goals in 44 matches all competitions combined). He would have agreed to accept his salary to receive the blue and black tunic and his Argentine attacking teammate Lautaro Martinez.

In two years at Inter, Lukaku had scored 64 goals in 95 matches. In December, in a television interview, he expressed his regrets for leaving Milan, where he was cheered on all day by supporters on Wednesday, during his various trips to pass his medical examination and then sign his contract.
